ALBERTA CASINOS

Alberta is a province whose casino's are solely charity run, there is no Indian Gaming in Alberta that I am aware of.
As such, there are tons of casinos popping up everywhere, as everyone wants in on the money!

This is the information on Edmonton's casino's I got from my friend and expert on Edmonton, Conrad Bialobzyski:

Back in the early 80's there was just one permanent casino in Edmonton, which was Casino ABS on 112th Street, just north of Jasper Ave. On the weekends other casinos were held in hotels in Edmonton, and sometime weekdays too in Sherwood Park and Edmonton. McPherson, ABS and another place Creative Casino would run these casinos. ABS then setup the Casino Edmonton later (86 or 87 I think?). At that time I don't think they called it Casino Edmonton, though(Info from Shane Hunt tells me the original two casinos were called ABS Southside and ABS Downtown). Then they ABS built a new Casino on 102 Street & 105 Ave., and the 112 St casino closed. Palace opened ( they had a $2 chip too). Bacarrat opened. ABS expanded Casino Edmonton twice to the size it is now. ABS opened Casino Yellowhead opened and the 102 St location closed. Somewhere in between Gold Dust opened. Also, Edmonton Northlands runs a Casino during Klondike Days. They have their own chips too.
