The Golden Nugget was originally opened to raise funds for the City of Moose Jaw's annual Fair. It continued to operate year round,
running Thursday and Friday evenings from 5pm to 1 am and Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 12 midnight. It was the first
casino in Saskatchewan to have Sunday Gaming. As far as is known, they used the same chips from open to close.
