NOVA SCOTIA AND PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND CASINOS
I am trying to recall the year that Nova Scotia Opened these casinos, as I was flown out to Halifax by ITT Sheratonto interview for the
Senior Management Team, but turned them down. If I recall correctly, that would be 1994 and the casinos would have opened in 1995.
It is interesting to note that Sheraton got the bid to run these casinos by promising the Provincial Govenrment large paybacks and job creation.
6 months after the casinos opened, they laid off 60% of their full time employees and defaulted on their first payment due to lack of business.
I am not certain how they are today though.
